He is talking about his life and his family who were separated. He was also talking how was it like being a slave and talk about some slave owners. He was born in 1843 and his age was 94 when he was interviewed. When he was a slave, there were some kind slave owners and some beat him up. He worked as a farmer and also in a sheep farm. He had to cut wool from the sheep. Then, he was moved to another place and different slave owner. He worked in a plantation of cotton. He tried to run away and found a man who was kind enough to keep him. He didn't want him as a slave and treated him nicely. One day, the man let him escape because he was also going outside of the town where there was less slavery.
